TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL PICTURES ON ARUBA
"I remember that day was the best Bluish Sky, but why not on my
photo?"
- What is
the best film for Aruba outdoors? 100 ASA.
- Not only is the sun very bright, it
produces a great deal of reflection on the white beaches and off the sea; therefore there
is no need for a higher film speed.
- 100 ASA produces a sharper image,

- TIPS FOR
SUCCESSFUL PICTURES ON ARUBA
- The best time to take pictures is early
in the morning, before 10 a.m. for the best color saturation on the "cool side of
tones". This is also the best time for pictures on the south side of the island.
- The best other daytime is late in the
afternoon after 4:30 p.m. and for pictures on the north side of the island for the
best color saturation for the "warm side of tones".
- A fill-in flash is a must at all times
for portrait outdoor pictures, for high contrast situations, and for extreme high contrast
between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- For slides only, a correction of
-0.5/-1.0 is always needed for the best colors and density.

- "I
remember that day was the best Bluish Sky, but why not on my photo?"
- Try this test: go outside and look at
the sky. The more you look toward the sun, the less Bluish Sky. The more you look away
from the sun, the more Bluish Sky. For the best Bluish Sky, always take pictures with the
sun at your back. Taking pictures toward the sun results in less blue sky.
